Metroflor – Maunaloa – 200 Island Collection – Vinyl Plank Flooring
Description
Maunaloa is the lightest board in the collection — an almost-white ivory with very little visible grain and almost no contrast between planks.
Where it belongs. Minimal interiors, galleries and showrooms, and small spaces that need to feel bigger than they are. It shows more than a mid tone does, so it suits low-traffic rooms best.
Who picks it. Owners building an all-white scheme, and anyone using the floor as background rather than as a feature.
Installation. Maunaloa floats over the subfloor: boards attach only to each other, no adhesive and no fasteners are used, and radiant heat systems are approved beneath. What makes it dent resistant is the rigid SPC core. What makes it quieter and softer underfoot is the HDPE underlayment bonded on at the factory. What makes it resist abrasion and stains is the FX2 Surface Protectant. It is waterproof, FloorScore and Assure Certified.
Be realistic about it. This is the lightest floor in the collection and it will show what lands on it. It is waterproof and the FX2 finish cleans easily, so the maintenance is quick — but it is more frequent than on a mid tone.
Measurements. Boards are 7.08 in by 47.64 in and 5.2 mm thick, 20 mil wear layer, micro-bevelled edge, 23.4 sq. ft. per carton.
