Metroflor – Poipu – Inception 200 Island Collection – Vinyl Plank Flooring

Poipu is a mid greige — a grey-brown with strong vertical grain running the length of the plank, cooler in tone than its name suggests. Both of Metroflor's own images of it show the same taupe-grey board.

Where it goes. Rooms with warm furniture that would clash with a true grey, and rooms with cool furniture that would clash with a true brown. Greige is the compromise, and it is the reason this colour sells into both.

Who chooses it. Owners furnishing over time rather than all at once, who do not want the floor to dictate the next decision.

Putting it down. Installation is floating and needs no adhesive, and the floor is cleared for radiant heat systems beneath it. Dent resistance comes from the rigid SPC core. Sound absorption and a softer step come from HDPE underlayment attached at the factory. Abrasion resistance and stain repellency come from the FX2 Surface Protectant. Construction is waterproof, FloorScore and Assure Certified.

Surface. Wood Tick embossing gives the plank a texture rather than a flat printed face. Boards are 7.08 in by 47.64 in, 5.2 mm thick, 20 mil wear layer, 23.4 sq. ft. to a carton.
