Sunset Apple runs warm amber with a red pull, smooth and even across the plank rather than heavily figured. Of the reds here it is the friendliest.

Rooms. Family living areas and hallways that want warmth without going dark. It reads richer under lamplight than under daylight, which suits rooms used mostly in the evening.

Buyers. Households replacing worn oak who want more colour than oak gives but less weight than a chocolate floor.

Fitting. The floor floats: planks join edge to edge over the subfloor with no glue and no nails, and radiant heating may run below it. Dent resistance comes out of the rigid SPC core, sound absorption and underfoot comfort out of the HDPE underlayment attached at the factory, and abrasion and stain resistance out of the FX2 Surface Protectant. Waterproof throughout and FloorScore and Assure Certified.

Worth knowing. Warm reds shift under artificial light. Take a sample home and look at it in the evening as well as at midday before committing a whole floor to it — samples are free for exactly this reason.
