Uzin - PE 260 (1 Gallon) Universal Substrate Primer
Description
Uzin PE 260 is a highly versatile, universal dispersion primer designed specifically for the challenges of renovation projects. Whether you are installing over old waterproof adhesive residues, existing wooden floorboards, or dense, non-absorbent surfaces, PE 260 creates the perfect bond bridge for leveling compounds and thin-set mortars.
Ideal for residential and commercial contractors, this solvent-free primer saves time by eliminating the need to mechanically remove old, strongly bonded adhesive residues. It dries rapidly, allowing you to proceed with leveling or installation in as little as 1 hour on wood or concrete.
Why Choose Uzin PE 260?
-
Renovation Ready: specifically formulated to bond to old substrates, including stone, ceramic, wooden floorboards, and chipboard.
-
Adhesive Friendly: Can be applied directly over old, waterproof adhesive residues (including bitumen) without grinding them off first.
-
Dual-Purpose: Works effectively on both absorbent (concrete, gypsum) and non-absorbent (terrazzo, metal) surfaces.
-
Rapid Drying: Minimizes downtime with a dry time of roughly 1 hour on wood/concrete and 2 hours on non-absorbent surfaces.
-
Healthy Indoor Air: EMICODE EC 1 PLUS certified (Very low emission), making it safe for interior use in homes, hospitals, and schools.

Application Tips:
-
Preparation: Ensure the subfloor is sound, dry, and free of loose debris or oil. The primer acts as a bridge, but the base must be stable.
-
Existing Adhesives: If priming over old adhesive residue, ensure the residue is thin, well-bonded, and water-resistant.
-
Dilution: Use undiluted on old adhesive residues. For dense concrete, it can be diluted slightly (check technical data sheet).
-
Tools: Apply thinly and evenly using a fine-pored foam roller or a short-pile velour roller. Avoid puddling.
