Description
LATICRETE® Hydro Ban is a single-component, liquid-applied waterproofing and crack isolation membrane designed for use under tile and stone installations in residential and commercial applications. This fabric-free system simplifies installation by eliminating the need for reinforcing fabric at corners, seams, and changes of plane while still delivering industry-leading performance.
Hydro Ban provides reliable waterproofing and anti-fracture protection over properly prepared substrates, including concrete, cement backer board, masonry, gypsum drywall (interior dry areas), exterior glue plywood, and approved underlayments. Once cured, it forms a thin, flexible membrane that protects against moisture intrusion and accommodates in-plane substrate cracks up to 1/8 inch (3 mm).
This fast-curing membrane allows for flood testing in as little as 2 hours at 70°F (21°C), helping installers complete projects faster without sacrificing performance. Hydro Ban exceeds ANSI A118.10 (waterproofing) and ANSI A118.12 (crack isolation) requirements and is suitable for interior and exterior applications, including showers, steam rooms, tub surrounds, pools, fountains, kitchens, balconies, and patios.
