Metroflor – Alii Oak – 200 Island Collection – Vinyl Plank Flooring

Alii Oak is honey-gold and unusually consistent plank to plank, with a fine even grain. Alii means chief, and this is the tidiest, most formal oak in the range.

Best for. Rooms where you want the floor calm and the furniture loud. Its low variation makes a large continuous floor look deliberate rather than patchy.

Typically bought by. Designers specifying a whole apartment, and owners who dislike the knotty, reclaimed look.

Installation notes. Alii Oak is installed floating: plank to plank, nothing into the subfloor, no glue and no nails, and radiant heat systems are approved beneath it. The rigid SPC core carries the dent resistance. The HDPE underlayment is factory-attached and does the sound absorption and the comfort. The FX2 Surface Protectant carries abrasion and stain resistance. The floor is waterproof and is FloorScore and Assure Certified.

A detail that matters here. The micro-bevelled edge leaves a shallow seam rather than a deep groove, which on a low-variation floor like this keeps the surface reading as one plane instead of a grid of separate boards.
