Makaha is a pale warm greige with a soft, quiet grain — one of the lighter boards in the range, not one of the dark ones. West-side named.

Rooms it earns its keep in. Entries, hallways, kitchens, open living areas: anywhere slippahs and sand are a daily reality. A light sandy tone hides tracked-in grit better than a dark floor does, which is the practical argument for it.

Who chooses it. Landlords, contractors specifying for turnovers, and homeowners who would rather not sweep before guests arrive.

Fitting it. This is a floating floor. Planks lock to each other above the slab or subfloor and are never glued down, and radiant heat underneath is approved. Each board leaves the factory with HDPE underlayment bonded to its back for sound and comfort, over an SPC core rigid enough to shrug off dents, and the FX2 Surface Protectant takes on abrasion and stains. The build is waterproof, FloorScore and Assure Certified.

Ordering. One carton covers 23.4 sq. ft., which keeps estimating a turnover simple, and the 20 mil wear layer is what carries the traffic. Boards run 7.08 in by 47.64 in at 5.2 mm with a micro-bevelled edge.
