Makapuu is a light greige-tan, muted and quiet, sitting on the line between a warm blonde and a cool grey. Named for the point at the eastern tip of Oahu.

Rooms. Entryways and open plans in houses that cannot decide between warm and cool furniture, because this colour will accept either. It hides tracked-in sand better than a true blonde.

Chosen by. Owners mixing existing furniture from two households, and anyone tired of committing to a temperature.

Fitting it. Makapuu is laid floating — planks lock into one another, nothing is fixed to the subfloor, no adhesive and no fasteners are used, and radiant heating is approved beneath. What resists dents is the rigid SPC core. What absorbs sound and softens the step is the HDPE underlayment attached at the factory. What resists abrasion and repels stains is the FX2 Surface Protectant. Waterproof, FloorScore and Assure Certified.

A note on matching. Greige is the safest colour to pick before the furniture is decided, because it does not force a warm or cool scheme afterwards. If you are undecided, this is the sample to take home first.
