Vinyl Plank Flooring - Metroflor Maunakea Inception 200 - Hawaii

Maunakea is a light cool grey, close to neutral, with a fine vertical grain and little warmth in it. It is named for the mountain that gets snow.

Rooms for it. Modern interiors with black or white joinery, bathrooms, and offices. A neutral grey is the one floor that will not clash with a colour chosen later.

Who takes it. Owners renovating to a grey-and-white scheme, and commercial fit-outs that need the floor to disappear.

Installing it. Maunakea floats — the planks connect to each other over the subfloor and are not glued or nailed to anything, and radiant heat may be run under it. Dent resistance is the rigid SPC core's doing. Sound absorption and comfort underfoot are the attached HDPE underlayment's. Abrasion resistance and stain repellency are the FX2 Surface Protectant's. The build is waterproof, FloorScore and Assure Certified.

For commercial use. The commercial warranty runs 15 years, which matters more on a neutral grey than on any other colour here, because grey is what most fit-outs specify. Waterproof construction suits break rooms and washrooms.
