Ohia Driftwood is pale grey-white with a soft, low-contrast grain — a washed, dry-looking board named for the ohia lehua, the first tree to grow on new lava.

Rooms. Bright coastal interiors and anywhere the walls are already white and the brief is to keep going. It is one of the two palest colours in the collection.

For. Owners after a Scandinavian or beach-house look, and rentals where a light floor makes the listing photographs.

Fitting. Ohia Driftwood is installed as a floating floor: planks engage one another and the assembly sits free on the subfloor, with nothing glued and nothing nailed, and radiant heat is approved below. The rigid SPC core gives the dent resistance. The attached HDPE underlayment gives the sound absorption and the comfort underfoot. The FX2 Surface Protectant gives the abrasion resistance and the stain repellency. Waterproof, FloorScore and Assure Certified.

Pairing it. Pale washed boards go with white walls and natural fibre, and they fight with orange-toned timber furniture. Worth laying a sample next to what you already own before ordering the floor.

Sizing. Planks of 7.08 in by 47.64 in, 5.2 mm thick, 20 mil wear layer, micro-bevelled; 23.4 sq. ft. per carton.
